National Museum of Ireland Project Management for Exhibitions

The military history Soldiers and Chiefs is the largest exhibition ever hosted by the National Museum of Ireland. It involved the refurbishment of an existing wing in Collins Barracks Museum as well as the construction of a new building to house the exhibition. Designed by OPW, MCO acted as client representation between NMI different Departments, OPW and other stakeholders on the project over 2 years.

MCO Projects provided project management and gallery management services for the National Museum of Ireland. Working on the exhibitions of differing scales and content we developed and managed delivery schedules, risk management and monitoring systems to track and report on progress, and managed communications between all the different implementation teams.

In addition to Soldiers and Chiefs, the largest exhibition ever hosted by the National Museum of Ireland, MCO project managed temporary exhibitions for the Collins Barracks Museum: Shackleton; When Philip Met Isabella.
