This project delivers a new ward block building at St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin that will house the national referral centre for cystic fibrosis patients, and provide 100% single bed en suite accommodation to reduce risk of cross infection, and maximise patient dignity and comfort.
St Vincent’s University Healthcare Group have commissioned the building of a 110-bed ward block that will provide 100 single en suite patient bedrooms over 5 floors, and a day care unit that provides 10 bedrooms with WC en suite facilities. Additionally each floor of ward accommodation will provide 4 single en suite isolation rooms.
The ward block includes the national referral centre for cystic fibrosis patients, including inpatient accommodation and a day care unit. Critical to best practice care for cystic fibrosis patients is the reduction of infection and cross infection from other patients, and the new ward block will provide the very best environment for this type of care.
