On the eve of the opening of the new building at Mater Misericordia University Hospital in Dublin (and inspired by the series Fifty People, One Question) and with the generous help of some of the staff at the Mater, we made a short film about the things they are most looking forward to from the new building.
A great insight into the personal impacts of the new facility, common themes included words like light, bright, spacious, daylight, patient, modern and sunshine, but you can watch it yourself below. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did making it. We originally screened this video at the launch of the new facility on Friday 27th April 2012, which was attended by Minister for Health Dr. James Reilly T.D., so it also includes a brief history of the Mater – one of Ireland’s key hospitals and one where medical history was made over and over again – and an introduction to the new build.
Watch it here.
