M‑CO worked with the County and City Management Association (CCMA) and the Local Government Management Association (LGMA) on the development of a strategy for the local government sector to lead and deliver climate action across Ireland.
This involved working closely with local authority chief executives, senior managers and external partners on the County and City Management Association (CCMA) Research Advisory Group, while also facilitating consultation with the National Local Authority Climate Action Steering Group and with those responsible for climate action in Ireland’s local authorities. The local government sector was ambitious to show leadership in this area and M‑CO delivered the project in less than 10 weeks.
